An early 20th century very large size cello with a 34inch back. Overall length is 138cm. A label L W Sanderson 1938 inside ( repairer ?)  Not sure of its origins but could be one of  the "New" violin family (baritone or small bass ?) Good order and a mellow tone. Varnish distressed in places. Some joints have been re-glued and a couple of minor crack repairs ( Top back near heel and front top near fingerboard. Has a long spike and can be played standing. Please note: this instrument is too big for the average player to play in a conventional way.
