Interestingly Decorated Mandolin

A bowl backed mandolin, probably Italian early 20th c, with mother-of-pearl/pearloid depiction of a woman in a boat around the sound hole, and wooden feather inlay around the edge. It has 30 ribs at the back, which appear to be rosewood separated by boxwood banding. There are some old restorations to the table and back. The action is reasonably low for playing. Overall length 24 inches (61 cm).
